Gallenkamp OVA031.XX1.5 – Features
The outer case is made from durable, stoved epoxy-polyester painted steel, designed to withstand demanding conditions while maintaining an attractive appearance. The vacuum chamber is crafted from robust light alloy casting and includes two shelves with three adjustable positions. Large-area heater panels strapped to the chamber’s surface provide efficient heating. Glass fiber insulation helps maintain safe, low outer case temperatures.
The chamber is sealed by a 12.5mm thick toughened glass plate, which fits onto a silicone rubber gasket. The plate is secured with four spring-loaded pins to ensure a tight, even seal. The door is closed using a strong, twist-action latch for a secure fit. For added safety, a 4mm thick polycarbonate safety shield covers the door window, preventing breakage.
The Gallenkamp Vacuum Oven uses reduced pressure to dry heat-sensitive materials at low temperatures. Alternatively, it dries more stable samples rapidly at higher temperatures without fan circulation. The oven is also ideal for controlled atmosphere heating, such as curing resins under nitrogen or reduced oxygen conditions. Sealed for solvent removal work, it requires proper exhaust and ventilation in the oven and room.
This vacuum oven is equipped with reliable, needle-type inlet and exhaust valves, conveniently located near the oven's bottom front corner. These valves are designed for easy connection to a vacuum pump, vapor trap, or exhaust system. A vacuum gauge shows the pressure from 0 to 1000 mbar, ensuring accurate monitoring during operations.
Testing
The Gallenkamp OVA031.XX1.5 Vacuum Oven is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test ovens using a digital data logger to verify the accuracy of temperature controls and readouts. We replace any hardware or parts as is necessary and clean all incubators thoroughly prior to shipment. If it’s a vacuum oven, we typically hold them in a state of vacuum for 24 hours to ensure chamber integrity.
Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
